Now that we can finally see what the new Supra looks like (honestly it was pretty easy to tell), I’m excited to see the reviews on handling and engine.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

No manual be damned, how many more inline 6 rwd coupes are we really going to get? I wouldn’t kick it out of bed at least partially for that. Additionally, when I was in Germany last September, I was driving down the autobahn at about 90 or so and a test mule got on the highway. I had just enough time to realize what it was for him to see me looking and absolutely send it. Not sure if these engines are going to be underrated from the factory (per typical BMW) but holy hell that thing ripped.

Sure, the thing has been hyped to hell, but I welcome any new fun to drive rwd coupes.

If this is any indication of what we will see, then I’m happy

(I know its not the same motor)

I’m going to save you some time on reading about the engine; It’s going to be 0/10 because it’s not a 2JZ.

I think I’ve seen this on potentially every IG post about it on my explore page. But that’s also the same people who think if they put a modern front and rear end on the 2G eclipse it would sell like hot cakes.

Totally reasonable take. I’ll give you my/the hot take. I don’t care about this car at all. Just like I don’t care about the new NSX because I heard about it over and over again for the better part of a decade before it actually arrived. I also don’t like the way it looks.

EDIT: I don’t mean this to be as aggressive as it reads:)

I’m looking forward to it as well. Being part BMW is a plus for me, I love BMW straight 6 engines. The people complaining about it wouldn’t have bought one even if it was a straight rerelease of the one from the 90s.

It looks like an FR-S with a cheap made-in-China body kit .

Blah. Hard pass.

It seems fine, but I'll just add it to the very long list of cars I will never spend that much money on.

I am still mildly annoyed that they have a manual for the engine and there has  been Z4 prototypes with a manual. But they’re not giving it to us.

I know Toyota wanted one. I feel like I remember them saying there was a good possibility for the 4 pot mill to have one

I’ll give it a 7/10. It looks okay. I like the duck tail and roof bubbles. It seems like a fun car to take on a track day. I am not sure if it would be a fun car for driving back country roads though.

My next car won’t be as much of a backroad car most likely. The fost is perfect for our technical backroads.

I just know I want rwd, coupe, manual. If I have to sacrifice manual, it is what it is

Yea, this sheet says “ s20i”

Kinja'd!!!

But for all models, its already engineered.  I ts not a crazy high cost, just give it to us.
